When Bruno conceived the Dom\u2019Up<\/a>, his idea was to share his passion for trees with everyone regardless of their age or their habit of living with and in nature.<\/span><\/p>\n

After years of wandering around the canopy as part of his job as a tree surgeon, Bruno was acutely aware that most people would never get to be so intimately connected with trees and would need an easier and more accessible solution to benefit from such an experience.<\/span><\/p>\n

They need nice comfortable and secure accommodation where they could relax and savour the wonderful proximity to Nature’s wealth.<\/span><\/p>\n

They needed a tree tent where they would feel comfortable and protected but still connected to the sounds and smells of nature.<\/span><\/p>\n

When the concept was clear in his mind, Bruno set up to create such a place.<\/span><\/p>\n

His love of trees implied that he had to find the solution that also benefited the tree, or, at the very least, would not harm them.<\/span><\/p>\n

And so the Dom\u2019Up was born.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now that is getting more mature, it is gaining the benefit from users\u2019 experience. And some of Dom’Up hosts have shared their improvements with us.<\/span><\/p>\n

As you know we just installed an additional Dom\u2019Up up at the Chateau d’Hodoumont<\/a> property.<\/span><\/p>\n

This time, however, with the benefit of experience, a toilet has been added on the terrace.<\/span><\/p>\n

This solves the issues of nocturnal emergencies that was a problem for guests wary of groping their way down in the pitch-black forest to answer Nature’s call in the middle of the night.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, with the new sawdust toilet sitting on the Dom\u2019Up terrace, just lift the cover, sit down and relieve yourself comfortably while enjoying the surrounding nature. It is a unique experience, marrying the comfort of closeby, easily accessible facilities with the connection to the night fragrance of the forest.<\/span><\/p>\n

The sawdust lined biodegradable bag is designed to absorb liquids and offensive odours, and your host will collect it in the morning.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the day, just close the box lid and add a cushion to benefit from additional seating.<\/span><\/p>\n
